About Sean Kelly and The Samples
With a soaring voice, distinctive guitar style, and a knack for crafting memorable songs like "Nature," "Feel Us Shaking," and "Did You Ever Look So Nice," Sean Kelly is the dynamic frontman of the rock, reggae, and folk fusion band, The Samples.
Born in Norwalk, Connecticut, Kelly's journey to musical success was not without its challenges. Despite attending only one year of high school, he discovered his passion for music, picking up the guitar and writing his own songs. Driven by his ambitions, he relocated to Colorado in 1987, forming The Samples and quickly establishing himself as a captivating presence on the local music scene.
The Samples' unique blend of rock, reggae, and folk, coupled with Kelly's original songwriting, resonated with audiences. When he's not touring with The Samples, Kelly continues to connect with fans through intimate acoustic performances.
The Samples are currently in the studio working on their 20th album, "Indian Summer," slated for release later this year. Kelly's songwriting prowess has also earned him recognition beyond the stage, with his songs featured in the film "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," the television series "Younger," and even in ads for MSNBC's midterm election coverage.
