Denver Concert Series: Inspiring Lyrics Win Big at Live! At The Lake
And the Winners Are... Lyrics Inspired by the Allman Brothers' Legacy Light Up Live! At The Lake
The anticipation is building here at Pelican Bay, and we're thrilled to reveal the winners of our "Most Inspiring Lyrics" contest for tonight's "My Blue Sky" show, a celebration of the timeless Allman Brothers Band.
After careful deliberation, Erik Dyce (Pelican Bay) and John Gallagher (My Blue Sky) have selected two lyrics that perfectly encapsulate the spirit of the Allman Brothers' music and the magic of our lakeside concert series. Erik, who had the honor of working with the Allman Brothers during his time at Red Rocks, will share a few words about that experience tonight.
Winning Lyric #1: "I don't own the clothes I'm wearing, and the road goes on forever." – John Dundon
John's lyric echoes the wanderlust and freedom found in the Allman Brothers' iconic "Midnight Driver." It speaks to the endless possibilities that life offers, just like the open road that stretches before us.
Winning Lyric #2: "Ain't wastin' time no more. With the help of God and true friends, I have come to realize I still have two strong legs and wings to fly..." – Bev Wilson
Bev's words resonate with the resilience and hope found in songs like "Jessica" and "Melissa." They remind us of the power of human connection, the importance of perseverance, and the ability to overcome challenges and soar to new heights.
John and Bev, congratulations! Please give your name at the at the Lake House - Cherry Creek State Park to claim your two pairs of tickets & drink tickets!
